We’re really looking forward to welcoming you and your child to One to One Tutoring for their trial lesson! When you arrive, you’ll be met by Myra who will help your child feel settled and comfortable.

Myra is an experienced and dedicated educator with 15 years of teaching experience in primary schools. She is passionate about helping children develop confidence in their abilities and enjoys working with individuals and small groups to support them in achieving their full potential. Myra has a particular love of Maths and problem-solving, and enjoys making learning engaging and accessible for every child. She also has a passion for reading and takes great pleasure in sharing her love of books and stories with children, helping to inspire a lifelong enjoyment of reading.

Outside of teaching, Myra enjoys spending quality time with her family, going to the theatre and exploring the countryside on walks. Her warm and nurturing approach allows her to build positive relationships with children, creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment tailored to their individual needs.

The trial lesson is not a formal assessment. It’s simply an opportunity for us to get to know your child, and for you and your child to get to know us and experience how our lessons work.

During the session, we’ll work with your child to identify their strengths and areas of challenge and begin helping them develop greater confidence. The lesson will be designed around your child and the information you have shared with us. As we get to know them better, we’ll tailor future lessons to their individual needs, interests, likes and strengths.

Please bring a drink with you. If your child is likely to get hungry, you’re also welcome to bring a small, healthy snack.

At the end of the session, Myra will provide some general feedback, and Chris will then be in touch with you to discuss your child’s experience and possible next steps.
