Empowering Futures: One to One Tutoring Supports Children from Disadvantaged Backgrounds.

Every Child Deserves a Chance to Thrive

At One to One Tutoring, we believe that every child deserves the chance to thrive, no matter their background. Far too often, children and young people from disadvantaged communities face educational and social barriers that limit their potential. We're here to change that — one student, one lesson, one future at a time.

More Than Tutoring: A Commitment to Social Impact

Our mission goes beyond education. We're proud to be actively involved in creating positive change in the communities we serve — not just through tutoring, but by supporting grassroots initiatives that help children grow in confidence, discipline, and self-belief.

We proudly sponsor Streetly Cricket Club and Streetly Coaching, two outstanding local organisations dedicated to developing young people through sport. These clubs provide a safe, structured environment where children from all backgrounds can learn valuable life skills, build friendships, and stay active.

Through donations and community partnerships, we can continue to support these vital programmes — ensuring that children have access not only to academic support but also to enrichment opportunities that shape well-rounded futures.

“Chris and One to One Tutoring have been a fantastic support to the club over the years. Thanks to their help, we’ve continued to grow as a strong and united football community.” Andrew (Head Coach), Streetly Coaching.

Partnering with Utility Warehouse to Create Change

To help fund our educational and community programmes, we’ve partnered with Utility Warehouse — and you can help, simply by reviewing your household bills.

For every person who signs up via our special referral link, Utility Warehouse will make a donation to One to One Tutoring. These funds go directly towards:

  • We provide tailored one-to-one or small group tutoring at no or reduced cost to children from low-income families who may otherwise go without academic support. These sessions help to bridge learning gaps, boost confidence, and improve attainment in core subjects such as English and Maths and provide opportunities to sit the 11+ entrance exams.

  • Our sponsorship enables local sports clubs to offer affordable, structured training sessions for young people, promoting physical health, teamwork, and discipline. With ongoing support, these clubs can continue to welcome children from all backgrounds, regardless of financial circumstance

  • We run community-based initiatives aimed at helping children build skills, resilience, and self-belief both inside and outside the classroom. These projects often include homework support, mentoring, and enrichment activities designed to nurture well-rounded development.

How It Works…

It’s quick, simple — and could even save you money:

  1. Book a free 30-minute call with a Utility Warehouse adviser via our link.

  2. They’ll help you review your current bills — broadband, energy, mobile, and more.

  3. If you decide to switch, a donation will be made on your behalf — with no extra cost to you.

Even if you don’t switch, your time helps raise awareness and can still make a difference.

Why It Matters

  • Over 4 million children in the UK live in poverty

  • Access to education, sport, and mentorship is limited in many communities

  • With your help, we can change the odds for these children

Every donation helps us continue our tutoring services and expand our support for extracurricular and sports initiatives that keep children engaged, empowered, and hopeful for the future.

Real Stories, Real Impact

  • "My son had been attending One to One Tutoring as part of a small group. When I explained that I’d have to stop 11+ tutoring due to reducing my hours after an illness, Chris kindly stepped in and offered support. I’m so grateful — my son has now passed the 11+ and is excited to start grammar school this September."

    Alex (Birmingham)

  • "After just a few lessons, my daughter has really grown in confidence with maths. Nicola was able to explain things in a way she just understood. She's now tackling maths problems at school and actually enjoying the subject."

    Deborah (Walsall)

  • "Thanks to the extra support, my child finally feels like they’re capable of succeeding. It’s not just about grades — it’s about self-belief, and that’s something we can’t put a price on."

    Sam (Aldridge)
