We’re really looking forward to welcoming you and your child to One to One Tutoring for their trial lesson! When you arrive, you’ll be met by Sarah who will help your child feel settled and comfortable.

Sarah has over nine years of teaching experience and previously spent four years working as an SEND Learning Support Assistant. Throughout her career, she has always placed a child-centred approach at the heart of everything she does.

She is passionate about building positive relationships with children and taking the time to understand what each individual needs to feel safe, secure and confident. Sarah believes that when children feel valued, supported and understood, they are able to thrive and achieve their full potential. English is Sarah's particular passion, although she has a strong knowledge across the wider curriculum.

Outside of teaching, Sarah enjoys watching football, running, reading and, most importantly, keeping her little one entertained!

The trial lesson is not a formal assessment. It’s simply an opportunity for us to get to know your child, and for you and your child to get to know us and experience how our lessons work.

During the session, we’ll work with your child to identify their strengths and areas of challenge and begin helping them develop greater confidence. The lesson will be designed around your child and the information you have shared with us. As we get to know them better, we’ll tailor future lessons to their individual needs, interests, likes and strengths.

Please bring a drink with you. If your child is likely to get hungry, you’re also welcome to bring a small, healthy snack.

At the end of the session, Sarah will provide some general feedback, and Chris will then be in touch with you to discuss your child’s experience and possible next steps.
