We’re really looking forward to welcoming you and your child to One to One Tutoring for their trial lesson!

When you arrive, you’ll be met by Susie, who will help your child feel settled and comfortable.

Susie is an experienced and dedicated teacher who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her previous career as an engineer into the classroom. Her professional background has given her valuable problem-solving skills, creativity and a practical approach to learning, which she enjoys sharing with her pupils. Susie has a genuine passion for working with children and takes the time to understand and support each child's individual needs. She recognises that every child learns differently and is committed to creating an inclusive, engaging and nurturing environment where all pupils can feel confident and reach their full potential.

Outside of the classroom, Susie enjoys spending quality time with her family and making the most of life's simple pleasures. She loves going for walks with her dog, getting lost in a good book and playing board games with family and friends. She also enjoys being a proud spectator at her children's various team sports, cheering them on from the sidelines and celebrating their achievements. Her warm and approachable nature allows her to build positive relationships with children, creating a relaxed and enjoyable learning experience tailored to each individual child.

The trial lesson is not a formal assessment. It’s simply an opportunity for us to get to know your child, and for you and your child to get to know us and experience how our lessons work.

During the session, we’ll work with your child to identify their strengths and areas of challenge and begin helping them develop greater confidence. The lesson will be designed around your child and the information you have shared with us. As we get to know them better, we’ll tailor future lessons to their individual needs, interests, likes and strengths.

Please bring a drink with you. If your child is likely to get hungry, you’re also welcome to bring a small, healthy snack.

At the end of the session, Susie will provide some general feedback, and Chris will then be in touch with you to discuss your child’s experience and possible next steps.
