Y4 11+ Week Commencing 26th January 2026 (week 6 of 6)
Welcome back, everyone — we hope you had a great weekend!
A quick look at the weeks ahead: we’re now just over 18 months from the test (it really does come around fast!). Gradually, we’ll be stepping things up a little — slightly more homework and more challenge in class, introduced in small, manageable ways. The goal is steady progress and confident, well-prepared children as we move closer to the exam.
We strongly encourage attending extra sessions where possible. These help reinforce learning, build speed and confidence, and reduce pressure at home.
A couple of important reminders:
Parking: Please don’t park on site. The spaces belong to other organisations using the venue, and we really appreciate your understanding.
Attendance: Classes run Monday to Saturday. If your child can’t make a session, let us know as early as you can — we’ll always try to offer an alternative slot within the same week if space allows.

Maths focus sessions will spend time covering a variety of aspects of the 11+ including fractions, decimals, percentages, statistics and algebra. The 11 Plus maths exam aims to identify higher ability in children, so good preparation is essential. We focus on mental arithmetic, exam technique and speed fluency because we understand the biggest challenge can be tackling exam questions under timed conditions.

NON-VERBAL REASONING FOCUS SESSIONS

Help your child build confidence and excel in their GL 11+ Non-Verbal Reasoning with our focused NVR sessions. Designed to break down the more complex elements, each session is paced carefully to ensure your child fully understands and develops key skills in areas such as coding, sequences, matrices, and analogies, along with other challenging NVR topics. By mastering these essential techniques, your child will feel more prepared and self-assured for the 11+ exam.
